The true story of Brooklyn’s notorious Daniel Morcilio Jr, a run-away turned multimillionaire drug-lord. "The Odd Couple" takes its audience deep inside the world of heroin during the 1980s. Danny came from humble beginnings to make himself and his associates rich beyond their wildest dreams. Soon after, it all came crumbling down after his father/right hand man was mysteriously murdered from within the ranks of the organization. Devastated from the loss and betrayal, Danny does the unthinkable and turns to Agent Jefferson Moran, a young undercover narcotics DEA agent who has been trying to dismantle the organization for years. These two don’t know it yet, but this case will be the start of a relationship that lasts over 25 years. Two Puerto Ricans from different sides of the tracks come together to tell their unique story in the world of NYC narcotics.
